Ms. Knowles brings over 20 years of human resources leadership to HR Knowledge Source (HRKS). She has served in senior-level roles for companies with regional and national geographic footprints; her most recent role was as the Vice President of Human Resources for a $1B professional services firm in Atlanta, GA. Ms. Knowles is a highly regarded leader in the HR community. She is best known for her ability to build HR departments from the ground up (people, policies, processes and technology). She is an accomplished HR executive who has achieved multiple certifications and designations throughout her career including: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Certified Project Manager (CPM); Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She has also been trained to utilize a variety of employee, team and leadership assessments related to team building, 360 performance feedback and leadership readiness.
Sheree Knowles is a “generalist” by heart, preferring to work in all aspects of human resources. Her “favorites” include mergers & acquisitions, talent & performance management, employment law compliance, talent acquisition and health & wellness. She is passionate about effectively engaging and motivating employees, developing better leaders as well as building capabilities through organizational design & workforce optimization. Ms. Knowles is also committed to developing emerging HR leaders. She has personally mentored many entry-level HR professionals who, based on their own desire for personal growth and advancement, have become HR Managers and HR Directors.
Ms. Knowles is actively involved in several professional and charitable organizations including the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF), National Association of African American in Human Resources (NAAAHR), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Keitt Foundation and many others.
